School Details

In keeping with the recommendations of the Building Brighter Futures initiative, John Marshall High School is reopening as a single high school in 2026. The combined school will unite three specialized schools—John Marshall School of Information Technology, John Marshall School of Engineering, and John Marshall School of Civic and Business Leadership.

Operating John Marshall High School as a single school will preserve what’s working while expanding access to career pathways and college credit courses for every student.

As Ohio’s first high school focused on computer science, John Marshall offers

  • A college prep curriculum with Advanced Placement, honors and College Credit Plus opportunities.
  • An Information Technology pathway for in-demand careers in software development, health IT, and cybersecurity.
  • An Engineering Science pathway that fosters creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking alongside hands-on learning in design labs to build everything from energy-efficient cars to climate change solutions.
  • A Business Leadership pathway with internships and field experiences that develop confidence and management skills.
  • A challenging and supportive academic culture that values growth and innovation.
  • A full slate of clubs, extracurricular experiences and Senate League sports with the storied John Marshall Lawyers.

John Marshall High School combines these strengths within a close-knit, supportive environment where every student is valued. Our mission is to graduate scholars who are innovative thinkers, skilled problem solvers, and future leaders ready to thrive in college, careers, and life.
