George Washington Carver at the heart of the Central neighborhood and emphasizes being family oriented. With families and community partners, scholars gain social-emotional skills to help manage their emotions, make good choices, maintain positive relationships and achieve their goals.
Our core curriculum, STEM instruction, and accessible tech allow each student to become a lifelong learner, innovative creator and problem solver.
Next school year, we will welcome scholars and staff from Alfred Benesch School will benefit all scholars and give them access to additional courses beyond art, music and physical education, plus expanded team sports and extracurricular clubs.

How to Enroll
PreK High quality, full-day preschool is offered here. All of our teachers are highly qualified, with bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education, and each classroom maintains the highest standards of a Gold Star Rating from the State of Ohio. Kindergarten registration begins in April. Children must turn 5 on or before September 30th. Inquire at the school, or contact Kindergarten Enrollment staff at 216-838-3675.
Grades 1-8 Registration for new students begins during the summer and continues throughout the school year. Caregivers can register students at at this school, or at the Office of School Choice & Enrollment on the first floor of 1111 Superior Ave. CMSD is an open enrollment district and welcomes students from around Northeast Ohio into our schools where space is available.
