The Building Brighter Futures initiative has determined that this school’s enrollment is unsustainably low, limiting the school’s ability to offer a robust student experience. There are available seats nearby in good-condition buildings that will allow for a higher-quality student experience.

Waverly students have a reserved seat at Joseph A. Gallagher School, a school with a higher star rating—3.5 stars compared to Waverly 2.5 stars—housed in a newly-opened building. That higher enrollment means better, more sustainable opportunities for students in classes beyond art, music and physical education,  extracurricular clubs, and team sports.

The Waverly campus will reopen next school year as Waverly Montessori, with the move of the west side Montessori program from Tremont.
