Mission

Tremont Montessori learners are curious, compassionate and committed.

In partnership with staff, caregivers and our community, they follow the Montessori philosophy, materials, and curriculum to meet or exceed state standards, to prepare for academic excellence, social responsibility, and a lifetime of learning.

Students learn in developmentally appropriate, engaging, multi-age classrooms and use inviting, self-correcting Montessori materials.

We strive to live up to our schoolwide virtues, Panther PRIDE—Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy. We celebrate individual and community successes.

Tremont Montessori is the first public elementary school in Ohio to receive accreditation from the American Montessori Society. We met nine core standards and 90 additional criteria through a whole-community effort over several school years.
