The Building Brighter Futures initiative has determined that Miles’ enrollment is low and declining, limiting the school’s ability to offer a robust student experience. At the same time, there are available seats nearby in good-condition buildings. More students in a building means better opportunities for students, beyond the basics of art, music, physical education and team sports.
Current students will have a reserved seat at Robert H. Jamison, a school with significantly higher and more stable enrollment in a good-condition building.
Merging Miles with Jamison will benefit all scholars and give them access to additional courses, plus expanded team sports and extracurricular clubs.
