Warner Girls’ Leadership Academy is proud to be a public PreK–8 school committed to empowering confident, capable, and compassionate young women. We offer a nurturing and supportive environment designed specifically to meet the unique needs of girls so that they can lead with purpose and create meaningful, positive change within their communities and the world beyond. Located in the Mill Creek neighborhood of Slavic Village, Warner welcomes students from across the city and surrounding suburbs. Our vibrant community centers leadership, academic excellence, and personal growth in everything we do.
As part of the Building Brighter Futures process, this school will be renamed Mary B. Martin Girls’ Leadership Academy in honor of the Cleveland teacher and activist who, in 1929, was the first Black woman, and the first educator, to be elected to the Cleveland Board of Education.
Our Approach to Empowering Young Women:
- Leadership Development
We nurture leadership in every student through the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, helping girls build confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose. - Community Partnerships
Through meaningful collaborations with organizations like Say Yes Cleveland, the Slavic Village P-16 Council, and other community partners, we provide wraparound support that enriches our students’ academic and personal growth. - Rigorous Academics
Our passionate educators deliver a challenging, standards-based curriculum that prepares students for success in high school, college, and beyond. - Whole-Child Education
We offer a well-rounded experience that includes athletics, the arts, and social-emotional learning—ensuring our students grow intellectually, creatively, and emotionally.
