MC^2 STEM High School

The Building Brighter Futures process has determined that enrollment in this school is unsustainably low and declining, while there are available seats in the region that will allow for a higher-quality student experience. Students have a reserved seat at East Tech, a school with a higher star rating—2.5 stars compared to MC2STEM’s 2 stars, housed in a building with the space to support a higher-quality student experience:

• East Tech has space to sustainably offer more opportunities for students, including expanded career pathways, college credit courses, electives, and sports, and the ability to pursue an honors diploma.
• The East Tech building will be prioritized for upgrades and investments, some of which are already underway.
• Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) will continue to be areas of specialization that students can choose, along with opportunities like hands-on design projections, experiential learning through community partnerships and robotics.
• For MC2STEM students, merging with East Tech will mean immediate opportunities to compete in expanded Senate League sports.

This school is closed to new enrollment, and will not operate after the 2025-2026 school year.
