School Details

Glenville is more than a high school, it’s our community. Small class environments give students a sense of belonging, and wraparound services motivate and support students and their families. In the fall, we will welcome scholars, caregivers and staff from Collinwood High School, and will work together to develop students into grassroots leaders who help build community bonds and improve foundations to ensure a successful future.

Like our Tarblooder mascot, our students are hard working, committed and dedicated individuals in their school and community. Career Pathways include:

  • Allied Health and Nursing
  • Health Information Management
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The Building Brighter Futures process has determined that enrollment at both Glenville and Collinwood is low and declining, and both buildings are in unsatisfactory condition. A new high school is in design and scheduled to open in 2031, welcoming students from both Glenville and Collinwood. In the meantime, Collinwood is closing and students will merge into Glenville High School beginning next school year.

Merging the schools will provide every student with access to expanded career pathways, college credit courses, electives, and the ability to pursue an honors diploma, along with Senate League sports teams. Allied health, including nursing and dental, will continue to be areas of specialization that students can choose immediately, and the new high school will provide a home for trades on the East Side.

Contact school choice navigators Arlin Hill or Robert Zellers with questions.
