School Details
The Building Brighter Futures initiative has determined that this school’s enrollment is low and that the program is in a building that is in unsatisfactory condition, limiting the school’s ability to offer a robust student experience.
Next school year, Dike will reopen in the Mound School building, and be renamed Mound School of the Arts. This will benefit current arts students through a higher quality building and potentially attract more students to this district-wide specialty school.
Better enrollment mean a higher-quality student experience, including additional courses beyond art, music, and physical education, expanded team sports and extracurricular clubs.
The new Mound School of the Arts will inspire a love of learning and the arts in a safe and nurturing environment. Scholars will engage in project- and problem-based learning, and blend the schools into an environment where creativity thrives and every day is a masterpiece in the making.
