Mission

Douglas MacArthur GLA is a small school
on the far west side of Cleveland with an
extended day and extended school year.
Our school is a community of female
scholars focused on becoming lady
leaders. We provide a rigorous academic
program tailored to the way girls learn
best as well as hold our girls accountable
to high behavioral expectations designed
to make them future leaders.

Douglas MacArthur offers—
• An extended day and year to maximize academic instruction.
• A skilled staff of educators, 98% of whom hold a master’s degree.
• Gifted and talented programs.
• Field trip opportunities including a 7th- and 8th-grade science camping trip.

• Athletics including We Run This City running club (culminates at the Rite Aid
marathon) for grades 5-8; cycling school for grade 4; volleyball and basketball for
grades 7 & 8.

Overall great school, wish it was a little bigger in size kind of a tight squeeze for as many students they have. Teachers are wonderful and really go the extra mile for their students.

Douglas MacArthur Girls Leadership Academy is a top notch school. The principal, assistant principal, teachers and staff are dedicated, hands on professionals! The parents are involved with activities and support the students, teachers and staff. There are exciting, fun, and educational field trips and activities. I believe this to be the best CMSD school. If you want your daughter to be a confident, caring, and intelligent leader, give her the opportunity to attend DMGLA!
