Douglas MacArthur GLA is a community of female scholars focused on becoming lady leaders. We provide a rigorous academic program guided by research on the ways girls learn best. We hold our girls to high behavioral expectations designed to make them future leaders. We also provide many additional programs such as gifted services.
As part of the Building Brighter Futures process, this school will be renamed Mary McLeod Bethune Girls Leadership Academy in honor of the eminent American educator and activist.
How to Enroll
PreK High quality, full-day preschool is offered here. All of our teachers are highly qualified, with bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education, and each classroom maintains the highest standards of a Gold Star Rating from the State of Ohio. Kindergarten registration begins in April. Children must turn 5 on or before September 30th. Inquire at the school, or contact Kindergarten Enrollment staff at 216-838-3675.
Grades 1-12 Caregivers can register students at this school, or at the Office of School Choice & Enrollment on the first floor of 1111 Superior Ave. CMSD is an open enrollment district and welcomes students from around Northeast Ohio into our schools where space is available.
