Mission
Glenville is more than a high school, it’s
our community. Small-class environments
give students a sense of belonging
and wraparound services motivate and
support students and their families. We
develop students into grassroots leaders
who help build community bonds and
improve the foundations to ensure a
successful future.
Like our Tarblooder mascot, our
students are hard working, committed,
dedicated individuals in their school and
community.
Special Programs
At Glenville, students can —
• Participate in programs designed to motivate and support African-American students
and improve graduation rates, including a daily advisory program that fosters college
and career readiness.
• Join Upward Bound programs associated with Cuyahoga Community College and
Baldwin Wallace University.
• Acquire college credits for free, through dual enrollment and advanced placement
course offerings.
• Get involved in extracurricular activities from football to foreign language clubs, chess
team to wrestling, gospel choir, yearbook, culinary club and more.
Beginning in the fall of 2020, this school will share its campus with the Martin Luther
King Jr. programs (page 167). Please call the CMSD Enrollment & Choice Office for more
information, 216-838-3675.
