The Building Brighter Futures initiative has determined that this school’s enrollment is unsustainably low, limiting the school’s ability to offer a robust student experience. There are available seats nearby in good-condition buildings that will allow for a higher-quality student experience.

Current students have a reserved seat at Franklin D. Roosevelt, a school with a higher star rating—2.5 stars compared to 2 stars—housed in a larger building with investments in progress.

That higher enrollment means better, more sustainable opportunities for students in classes beyond art, music and physical education, plus extracurricular clubs and team sports.

Our school was renamed in 2022 through a thoughtful, community-informed process, and the name Stephanie Tubbs Jones will endure as the new name for the current FDR building.
