Horizon Science Academy Cleveland High School (HSA) is a public charter school that enrolls 500 students in grades 9-12. Created in 1999, HSA provides students with an innovative, world-class education that is rich in math, science and technology. We are focused on preparing students to become bold inquirers, problem solvers and ethical leaders, who are ready for post-secondary education and to meet the challenges of a competitive global workforce.
We have a culture built on a common set of values; student, teacher, and parent accountability; and high expectations, resulting in high levels of student achievement. Our administrators, teachers and guardians have high expectations of our students and students have high expectations of their teachers.
We are proud to offer a rigorous and challenging curriculum that has been uniquely designed to prepare students for high academic achievement in uninterrupted schooling environments. Horizon Science Academy received the 2009 Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence from the U.S. Department of Education. We are proud of our other awards and accomplishments:

In addition to adhering to all of the same state and local rules and regulations, and meeting the same academic requirements as traditional public schools, charter schools have additional accountability.
