Design Lab students learn by doing. High school doesn’t have to be preparation for real life; it is real life. Project-based learning is at the heart of what we do. At this school, student learning begins with an actual problem to solve, and ends with making a difference to a real audience. This school will begin phasing out following the 2019-2020 school year, meaning no new 9th graders will be enrolled for Fall 2020 and beyond. Special Programs

Design Lab offers:
• The opportunity to take college courses tuition-free while still in high school,
beginning with robotics in ninth grade.
• A maker space, sound studio and a beautiful creative meeting space including:
3D fabrication printers, laser cutter, vinyl cutter; video production GoPro cameras
and green screen; sound production for music and podcasts; and one-to-one
technology with Chromebooks and iPads.
• Numerous opportunities to explore and maximize your creativity, talent and
ingenuity through thinking, problem solving and making.
• X-Block Wednesdays feature Tri-C Robotics, Raspberry Pi & Helicopter Drones,
Creative Writing, UpCycle, Effective Leadership Academy, Design 101, and more.
